Is a three foot long scarf a small, average, or long sized scarf?
I am knitting on for my aunt. She is probably about 5′9″. Help!
Three feet? That’s kind of on the short end of average.

Where can I find a long, red, orange and yellow scarf?
Red at the top, faded into orange, and orange faded into yellow at the bottom. Basicully i’m looking for Rikku’s scarf from Final Fantasy X-2. I’ve looked at several Rikku cosplay costumes on ebay and all have really crappy scarfs. (three pieces snit together, not even faded.) I’m looking for really really long scarves!! like 9 feet! p.s. I found EXACTLY what I was looking for but it was 70$!!

I have this long cotton scarf. If I wrap it around me tightly, can it help me lose inches? I’m just curious?
I know if it helps any, it will probably only be temporary. I probably even do this. I was just bored and got this random idea.
If you did it tight enough and wore it long enough i would assume it would its along the same lines and foot bonding in china i think it is….i wouldnt recomend doing it but technacly it might have potential

The basic Turban can be used for many occasions.
1. Start with a long rectangular scarf or fold a square scarf diagonally and then into a strip. You will need to pin up long hair out of the way. Position the middle of the long scarf at the back of the neck, in the centre.
2. Bring the two ends up above your head, covering your head with fabric and cross the ends pulling them tightly so that the fabric is close to your head.
3. Make another twist by crossing the ends again and a third if you would like to.
4. Pull all twists tight and take the ends to the back of your head and tuck them under the bottom edge of the turban. If the ends are not long enough to reach the bottom, tuck them under the folds on top.

A huge amount of versatility can be added to the way you wear your scarves by adding scarves accessories. One of the great things about scarves is that very few extras are needed to make scarf arrangements.
You probably have some items that you can use already, though you may not have realized it…
Pins and brooches are handy for holding scarves in place and are useful to have. A kilt pin adds a touch when used in the same way.
These are all more suited to a heavier fabric than pure silk. Use them when wearing scarves made of silk blended with another fiber, like cashmere or pashmina.
Special scarf rings are worth having, you can use your own large size finger rings (nothing too precious), or either small gilt or silver curtain rings. Be creative and you may come up with some other alternative scarves accessories.
To ensure your silk scarves do not slip, you can discreetly use hair pins or hair grips. Another option is to buy small adhesive pads which grip to each other. Gently press one onto one part of your scarf and its partner onto another to hold the two edges in place with nothing showing.
Another great accessory is to use jewellery in conjunction with scarves. You can wind or twist them together or thread scarves through links on chains or bracelets. This can give an exciting effect.
Be careful that jewellery does not have sharp edges that may catch on your scarf.
